A Short
I’m going to do something different. I’m shortening these tiny essays. In the digital world in which we live, where getting someone to watch a video for three seconds is a big deal, 300 words and three paragraphs feel like long form writing. So, I’m dropping back to two paragraphs. I liked three because it felt like a beginning, a middle, and an end. But in the beginning, it was only two, and given the current mundaneness of my life, going back seems fitting.
So, the space between the first and the last paragraph is now the middle, and this is now the end, whatever words I manage to accrete as I search for a way to say goodbye. Not forever, just for this. And as with most days, I have no idea what I really want to say, or a good feel for how to say it. I just type and words come out. And that’s just like life, we talk and the words come out, except I’m writing mine down, and today you are welcome to make of it what you will.
