Good Things
A storm blew in last night and I slept right through it. That’s a good sign, I think. Plus, nearly an inch of rain fell, and I know that’s a good sign. Of course, I’m not real sure what to do with all those good signs. I guess just be happy, and that seems relatively easy, which is another good sign. So, off we go, happy to have rain and good night’s sleep.
Big news today is I need to buy a portable CD drive for my laptop, which used to come with said drives until CDs became nearly obsolete in much the same manner as happened to floppy discs. Ah, technology, ever changing, moving right along, making everyone at some point feel obsolete and out of touch. But I need to rip a disc or two full of old music, and I need the drive. Luckily, they’re relatively inexpensive.
The same cannot be said for new phones, which are really expensive and apparently need to be replaced at least every five years. I suspect a plot here because of the mysterious ways they just stop working. They’re not like the old princess phone which just hung on your wall waiting for a call and lasted a lifetime. Nope. We carry our phone around now and look at it with the loving eyes we used to cast on our infant children. Ooh, look, a call. And that video, oh my gosh, so cute and rewarding. Guilty here. And my watch monitor’s my heart rate and that’s good, right?
