What I See
It’s another chill morning on the homestead. The cats are fed, and the morning deer have retreated into the anonymity of the woods. Gray clouds are riding a southerly breeze and reflecting the morning sun.
Good Morning
Outside, a soft cold rain is falling. Morning is coming ever so gently into the room. The sink is full of dishes.
Over the Hills
It’s a wonderful fall morning. The air is clear and cold. There’s a scattering of clouds where the morning sun can play. The day feels filled with promise.
Maybe One Day
On our very first Christmas together my wife and I put up a tiny Christmas tree on her grandmother’s old oak side table.
This is Me
On the ring finger of my right hand, starting at the inside and just below the crease of the middle joint of my ring finger is the beginnings of a scar.
Slowing Down

A Time Tale
The festooning has started. The icicle lights I bought new in 2019 are hung from the gutters with care.
Something’s Coming
There’s a feeling I’m unable to shake that a big test is coming. It probably has to do with this Saturday.
Tomorrow Land
The 21st century is coming to my little town in a relatively big way. A bank of charging stations for electric cars is being installed next to the gas pumps by our local small box supermarket.
Better Than Most
We fell back last night. I bet the earth, sun and stars never even noticed.
