Slow News Day
I had a full day yesterday. Got a good result from a doctor. Changed the oil in my new-to-me car. Bought a few groceries. Edited a few videos. Watched a package I sent to my son in Cypress go all the way to New Orleans as it made its way to him. Seems rather roundabout, but I cannot pretend I understand the mysteries of postal shipping. Nor do I understand most of life’s mysteries.
It’s cool this morning. Almost springlike. In fact, my rose bush is blooming. I don’t think any of us know what to make of the weather. We’ve had one freeze and it wasn’t hard. The cool weather is nice, but I think the plants are wondering what’s up. As for rain, well, it’s been sparse and I don’t see any on the horizon. But I’ve collected a modest amount of rainwater so I’m giving out drinks as best I can.
I tried to take a picture of a nice sunrise this morning, but our industrial might got in the way. The were too many poles and lines to make for an appealing picture. So, I just enjoyed the view and mentally adjusted for the obstructions. Luckily, I have places to go for watching the sun go up and down, maybe one of these mornings I’ll make the effort and see what comes of it.
