Weather
Another weather report. The morning low is in the 40s. That’s it, except to note that it feels good to walk outside on a cool morning. I wonder, however, if this is how it felt when the Little Ice age started in the 14th century. One morning everyone got up, and it was cool outside and it stayed cool for six centuries. And no one much noticed. It was just the weather.
Not unusual, after all, as humans we live such abbreviated lives relative to earth and the universe that we tend to think what we see now is how it’s always been and how it will always be. You might say we have a limited perspective. Luckily, we’re also curious which is how we discovered there was a little Ice Age, although I suspect it was mostly an academic exercise, because I’ve never heard the subject come up in casual conversation.
